This is an excellent model that is well made. It is more prototypically accurate than a scratchbuilt model done several years ago. I will be purchasing others for my layout. Dr Tom

Is the only other option to model one of these hopper cars, is to scratch build ithat’s build it or build 1 of the laser kids out there. If you want more than 1 or 2, that’s going to take you quite some time.
These prints are very well designed and the prints are amazing. You only have to get the excess out from under the cross members at the bottom of the car, then start ousting on a LOT of grab irons. In fact, you should buy a bunch of Tichy grab irons if you want the right number. And Bachmann arch bar trucks will work perfectly on these cars with the coupler adapters that WR also makes.
One had a line on the exterior that seemed to parallel the interior angle of the bottom of the hopper. The prototype clearly never had that, but after a light sanding and paint, you can’t see it very clearly now.
This is as close as I ever hope to get for a RTR for a ET&WNC hopper. I bought one, loved it, and bought two more and I’d like a few more eventually. They’re a great car and we’ll worth it for the time and effort you avoid with a scratchbuilt or laser version.
