While it is designed as a direct replacement, Bachmann seems to have made small changes to various versions of these locomotives. Specifically the running boards and floor seem to vary slightly from loco to loco. I designed this using the tread plate floor from my Mogul, but I used a wood floor from an American. They are not the same. I had to move the screw holes on the floor around a little so I could screw the cab on. (cutting and filling required on the floor). This model is printed in a photo-polymer resin that is cured with UV light. We have not tested this resin in an out-door environment but do recommend a good coat of paint to protect it. If you have questions, feel free to contact us at info@3dptrain.com
