Hoboes, car inspectors, switchmen, yardmasters, brakemen, and mischievous children left messages on the sides of freight cars in chalk. Sometimes they were messages about damage or defect, sometimes they were routing instructions, sometimes notes to help in the assembly of a train, and sometimes just names and silly drawings. This decal set was hand-traced from historic photographs taken across the United States between 1885 and 1905.
Includes over fifty unique chalk marks all meticulously matched to photographs of real cars. Note this product is for the chalk mark decal set only, model and other lettering not included.

Although I have not used my decals as of yet, they do seem to be of very good quality; legible, very thin, seem like they will do the job very nicely. I will post after I have some cars painted and lettered. Beautiful artwork, and definitely seem worth the money, I would not hesitate to purchase anything from 3DP Train - have always been impressed with their printing / products.
The rolling stock chalk mark decals add that final touch of realism to any rolling stock. The decal film is thin, slides off easily and with SolvaSet or similar, snuggles down on any surface. A great product.
The chalk mark lines are very fine, and while they are designed for specific types of cars, from a short distance (even closer than the three foot rule) they look good on other types of cars. Great decal to add realism to your freight cars. Thanks.
