HO - PWBRR 27' 10" Boxcar (1861)
A product of Harlan & Hollingsworth Company, built 1861 for the Philadelphia, Wilmington & Baltimore Railroad. A diagram of such car can be found in The American Railroad Freight Car, written by John White. The diagram for this car placed it at number 720, though I know little else about the car series.
Trucks are provided for this model, though 33" wheelsets will need to be sourced separately. My understanding is that the body should be "Pale Yellow" with a tan or sand colored roof, black hardware & red wheels. Decals should also be sought from 3rd Party. Taps are available in a few places for drilling, on the sliding doors, the right hand corner of both ends of the roof, and the Brake end. A Brake wheel will need to be sourced separately. Truss rods can be drilled and made of brass wire, but should connect to the ends of the body bolsters. Couplers will need to be sourced separately as well.
