But for the prototype. These represent 16 locomotives built for the New York Central by Lima-Hamilton just before Lima ceased diesel locomotive production. They were built with steam generators, and were lengthen takes on the LS-1200 switchers. They bounced around a bit, from Boston to Chicago. Over time some were repurposed for freight service. Two lasted into Penn Central days having been repowered with EMD 567 prime movers prior to the merger.
On offer here are two versions at present. The passenger version with a stack for the steam generator in the short hood, and the freight version with it eliminated from the body. I do eventually plan to offer an EMD-repower version, but more research is still needed on it before I can launch it.
