Originally built for the Boston Revere Beach and Lynn railroad these cars wound up on many other railroads in later years. This kit includes one car body as was built for the BRB&L as well as a stove stack and restroom vent as were installed during their service on the East Broad Top Railroad. All four cars owned by the EBT Had their stacks in different locations, so we chose to leave them as a separate part allowing you to model the car of your choice.

Trucks:
These cars do not include trucks as we do not have definitive data on if all the BR&BL Coaches used the same truck, however, to the best of our knowledge the EBT Coaches used the Class 70 Trucks. We also offer the Class 30 Trucks but believe those were only used on the PA02 Cars that went to the ET&WNC. Select the version you prefer, or that matches the prototype you are modeling.

Larry Dwyer
Laconia 1905 48 foot coach.

Very nice, acceptable car body shell with a lot of detail, however, there's fine curved lines, running on the roof of the length of the coach, in each and every one of the four cars I ordered.
The extra work required to rectify this production defect, would be to sandpaper the top of the roof out with a fine sandpaper.
(Additionally, some of the outside side car body, vertical wood paneling, has a slight curve to it but it's still good).
These old wood coaches are a fairly good choice for me, as I plan to order more from you.
These coaches are close but not exactly the same as the Chicago and New York old elevated cars used in rapid Transit from the very late 1800s right through the 1950s.
There were popular, 16 window, (as well as 14 and 12 window), type of wooden rapid Transit elevated car coaches used both in Chicago and in New York. Not to mention the later early rapid Transit cars that came afterwards).
Pretty similar looking to the Laconia coaches.
I know there are people that would buy the Chicago and New York elevated wooden coaches, as well as vintage subway cars, as there are blueprints of them online.
This as you may want to consider this is another product line, option.
Overall,a very nice model, (except for the fine curved lines in the roof), there's a lot of nice Crisp detail otherwise.
(You also need to be directly available to be contacted with by telephone if need be, instead of indirectly through the app).
Thank you for the prompt service as you delivered the nice coaches ahead of the deadline.
That makes a big difference, in the good quality of your service.
Thanks again.
I will be ordering a couple more shortly.
Thanks again,
Larry
