The Northern Pacific Railway received a large number of 33' boxcars from various builders in the 1870s and 1880s. Little is known about the Northern Pacific's first boxcars, and photos of them are scarce, but it appears that these cars were white, or possibly cream, with black lettering (version A). By the late 1870s, the railroad had settled on a mineral brown with white lettering (version B). By the 1880s, the Northern Pacific's famous roman "Arch" logo had been introduced, and was used on these cars until the end of their lives, with various stenciling changes taking place over the years (version C). Many of these cars remained in service through the 'teens.
Our decals are printed in Ghost white toner and respond well to most commercial decal setting solutions.

The Northern Pacific Railroad 33' Double Sheath Boxcar decals are awesome. Early era railroad decals made accurately and crisply. Different variations of the NP boxcars are included and gives you the choice of what car you would like to model. I chose all of them. Decals arrived in good order and timely. 3DPTrain is a great source for early rail decals. I enjoy them very much. Thank you! A+ 5*s.
