Description
Andrews side frames were used by the DM&IR and its predecessors to upgrade the aging arch-bar trucks under their ribbed ore car fleet (see our HO-7005 series trucks). They were more structurally sound than arch-bars and allowed the railroad to save money by retaining the transoms, journal boxes and brake rigging of the originals. We offer two different styles of journal boxes for these trucks (see photos).
