This model represents a passenger car designed for the Mohawk & Hudson Railroad in 1832. It would be a perfect complement for the model of Experiment (found in my shop) or for the Bachmann DeWitt Clinton model. This style of car marked the first step beyond the stagecoach derived stock adopted by the company in 1831. Because the M&H continued to use horses to draw trains within the city limits, the cars had to have an outside seat for the driver even after all passenger seating was moved inside. These unusual cars also made use of a band brake instead of the common brake blocks of the era. This model is intended to take 36" (10.5mm) wheels on NMRA standard pinpoint axles. Wheels/axles not included in the print.
