Based on the fruit cars found on the Central Pacific during the late 1870s into the 1880s, this body shell is designed to fit directly onto the Roundhouse Overton frame (not included). Includes one OLW-D01 decal set with every shell.

Central Pacific and later Southern Pacific entered into a transcontinental fruit express agreement with the Rio Grande Western and the Denver & Rio Grande railroads to transport California produce east via Colorado. These cars were often used on passenger trains, and interchanged at Ogden, Utah, to continue to Denver, so were seen on multiple railroads. The Denver & Rio Grande also had similar cars for the same pool service so this kit can be used to represent their fleet as well with modifications.
