Detail part based on the most common style of smokebox door & headlight bracket produced by the Central Pacific/Southern Pacific shops in the mid-to-late 1800s, under A.J. Stevens' time as Master Mechanic.
Designed to be suitable for direct replacement of the stock Bachmann "New Tool" 4-4-0's smokebox door, it should be installed with little resistance. If it does not sit flush, do not force it, as this part is fragile and may require extra attention in those cases.
