Created from D&RGW standards. The Rio Grande used Kalamazoo "Perfect" Cattle Guard plates for their cattle guard. This kit is designed to work with code 40 and larger rail. The kit is designed to be installed while laying track, but the base can be cut with a razor saw and fitted into existing track. This kit includes the base plate which simulates the specially spaced and sized tie with the Kalamazoo steel guards installed, and two wood Wing Fences as shown. Add-on kits are available which would allow modeling multi track guards.
