FPSM-0003 Fairbanks Morse H12-44TS

Santa Fe took delivery of the only three of these unique light road switchers in 1956. These FM diesels were essentially H12-44s with a steam generator specifically to keep the steam lines from freezing on cars being moved between 21st Street Coach Yard and Dearborn Station in Chicago. The correct plastic handrails were sourced from an Atlas H16-44.
