In 1908 the Denver & Rio Grande merged with the Rio Grande Western, repainting the entire standard gauge RGW freight car fleet including these 34-foot boxcars numbered 14000 through 14106. Traced from original D&RG lettering diagrams archival collections, this set letters one complete car.
