The Colorado Central Railroad, the builder of the world-famous Georgetown Loop, was an on-again, off-again subsidiary of the Union Pacific. Its freight cars were freely interchanged with the Denver, South Park & Pacific and other UP-controlled narrow gauge roads and may have wound up on the Rio Grande system as well.
