Wisconsin Central owned three of these 40-foot boxcars leased to the Menasha Chair Company, a subsidiary of the Menasha Woodenware Company. They were built in the 1880s by the St. Charles Car Company. This HO scale waterslide decal set letters one car.

The builder's photo shows a light car with dark lettering. We chose to represent the car in pale green, as the replica Menasha Woodenware barrel boxcar at the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin, is painted dark green. Pale greens were common options in the 1880s, advertised in many railroad-directed paint catalogs.
