Utah & Northern, the three-foot-gauge railroad that ran from Ogden Utah to Butte Montana, owned an eclectic variety of cabooses, both four-wheel bobbers and eight-wheel way cars. While few photos of this company's cabooses survive, we know that multiple of the bobbers came from the Denver, South Park & Pacific, like U&N 1601. Others were built at the Utah Central car shops in Salt Lake City.

This decal set pairs perfectly with Western Rails Company's WRC-NE07 DSP&P caboose kits, also available in HOn3 and On3 on 3DpTrain (sold separately).

This decal set letters three complete cars: two Utah & Northern (one "Way Car" and one "Caboose," as both designations were used), and one Utah Eastern Way Car, as the Utah Eastern was also a Union Pacific subsidiary and its cabooses were loaned to the Utah & Northern without repainting. Please note that it is printed with a CMYK process on clear film, so may appear translucent during application, but will apply opaque over a light colored body.

As a subsidiary of the Union Pacific, like the Denver, South Park & Pacific in Colorado, its cabooses were painted Chrome Yellow with permanent red lettering. The frames, roofs and platforms were mineral brown with lighter brown pedestals or trucks. The interior walls and floor were green and the interior ceiling gray. All ironwork was black.
