Grove Farm Sugar Cane Car - On30

This model represents a Gregg 30”-gauge 5-ton flared-side cane car as provided to the Grove Farm Sugar Plantation on Kauai and pictured in Gregg’s 1908 catalogue. The Grove Farm Homestead & Sugar Plantation Museum ( https://grovefarm.org/ ) currently uses several of these cars – reconstructed with the original metal hardware – on their historic sugar cane train rides. The sides of the prototype cars are hinged and drop down for unloading. A brake lever is located on one end.

The On30 model is designed to accommodate Kadee #24 Short Underset body-mount coupler. Use Kadee #524 metal wheelsets.
