About a week ago the HO-4000 - Merchants Despatch 34' Refrigerator Car arrived at my door. It is first rate. For someone modeling 1909, this car is a nice fit. There are only a few parts as it comes with a lot of nice detail. I should have mine completed in about a week. NOW, to do a little research and see if there are some private refrigerator car fleets I could morph l using the HO-4000 as the basis- DAH
Remarkably detailed, prototype-faithful model with multiple decal options. I will enjoy building this. My only wish is that it might have been printed in white medium, rather than dark grey, so that it was decal-ready. Otherwise, it is an exceptional model. MY recommendation to potential buyers is to add the couplers and trucks if your budget allows.
