An HO model of a Lehigh Valley Railroad Coach, which was listed in a Freight Equipment Roster for the railroad in 1892 as a "Workingmans Car". It is likely the coach was converted from a passenger car for MOW service some time prior. The body was 41'-2" on length.
I have little else to go on for this car, though I have some insight as to possible color schemes which the modeller may wish to make use of in painting the car in passenger colors:
- "An Ugly Green Color" (1876).
- A light olive color, with gold and black striping. The only ornaments being the name of the road and the number of the car. (1882).
- Lehigh Valley Standard Passenger colors (A Tuscan Red Color, 1885).
- A Rich Brown with Gold Trimmings, similar in appearance to Reading Coach Brown.. though retaining LV Styling with a Black colored Nameboard at the top of the car. (1892).
The car will require the following details to be sourced separately: Trucks, handrails, Brakewheels, couplers, paint and lettering. The four platform stairs will need to be glued into place on the chassis.
