An HO Model of an LIRR PB-57 Baggage Car, built by Pullman in 1898. There were likely twenty cars ordered by Pullman, which were numbered from 501-520. In 1899, the LIRR also received a series of cars dimensionally similar to these by Wason, which were numbered from 521-530. A Special Thank You to Mike Koehler & George Schlichter for providing information on this coach.
Color for these is known, gold letters with the body being LIRR Coach Brown (A sort of darkish Maroon in color). I have used Apple Barrel Red as a close approximate.. it is also a good approximate to PRR Tuscan Red. Roof can also be painted Black.
Handrails for the platform will also need to be fashioned, and trucks are not yet supplied with this model. Decals will need to be sourced separately. For reference as to livery lining & lettering arrangement, please refer to this image available on Steve Lynch's website, which can be found by clicking here. All rights reserved to them.
