Designed as an improvement on the original Type M Critter, the Type M2 is meant to drop right onto a Kato HO scale P42 power truck. The body and frame plate are integral, meant to drop right onto the Kato power unit. The detail parts are meant to drop right onto the body. The frame is designed with Kadee 242 coupler boxes in mind. And with the longer hoods and larger cab? There's even more room to fit deadrail equipment, DCC decoders and sound over the old Type M design.
