This is a rather simple conversion kit, designed around the old Walthers Proto 2000 Alco S1s. For those of you in New England who pay attention to these things, there's an odd looking Alco S1 in Lincoln. Built for the Maine Central as their 958, after a grade crossing accident in the early 90s on the Maine Coast the cab was repaired at Waterville. Suffice to say, it seems Alco standard glass wasn't available, and near as I could establish the glass that remained was replaced with standard EMD glass that would be more at home on SW7s and 9s. Given there were SW9s still in active service on Guilford and SW7s in the deadline? The parts were certainly available. 

But 958 also was converted to roller bearings, and this small package comes with Blount truck side frames to replace the stock Walthers components, these trying to represent the roller bearings as presently equipped on 958 and it's stablemates.
