The Truax Automatic Ore Car, first patented in 1892, with several updated patents in 1895 and 1898, was the most common mine car in the world. Truax cars were built in Denver, Colorado, the Globe Iron Works in Stockton, California, licensed out to the Vancouver Engineering Works of Canada, and unlicensed copies built by the Colorado Iron Works and several other manufacturers. Advertised as inexpensive, labor saving and easy to use, they were shipped to nearly every metal mining district in the US, Canada and Mexico, along with China and Australia. Truax cars were even shipped to Hawaii to be used in a Sugar Refinery.


Two different variants are offered, a car in the normal position, which prints in one piece, and the dumping position, which prints in 2 pieces. This is a static model that is meant for 18" gauge track.  2 Ore Cars are included each
