Self Acting Incline Windlass

A self acting incline utilizes the weight of the car on one track going down to draw the car going up. If additional power was needed, a man could power the hand crank, and had brakes if one the windlass was moving too fast. This is based on a real prototype found in a Copper Mine in Michigan that dates to the 1860s. These windlasses would've been used both above and underground on inclined planes.

This kit prints in 4 separate pieces and does not include the frame mounting. This would pair well with our wooden skip car kit.
