SJP-St44 On30 Mini-light
This loco shell is a direct replacement for the boiler, cab and pilot on the Bachmann On30 2-6-0. It is a fantasy design inspired by the Southern Pacific GS-4 4-8-4 Daylight. There was never a narrow-gauge Daylight, but I tried to incorporate a number of the GS-4 Daylight styling cues on this design. It consists of a locomotive body shell with a separate back-head. After removing the original cab, boiler and pilot the new loco shell assembly mounts under the mounting lug on the rear of the loco chassis and bolts down through the original pilot mounting hole with a #2 or M2 self-tapping screw (or the equivalent). This model will work with either the Mini-Daylight tender shell (SJP-Tn09) or the Vanderbilt tender (SJP-Tn02)
There is a also a combine (SJP-P36SCc), coach (SJP-P36Sc) and observation car (SJP-SJP-P36SOc) to go with this too.

NOTE: Like all San Juan Pacific designs, the fit between all the parts is tight. It is easier to sand something to fit, that it is to try to add material to make up for a loose fit.

This 3d printed kit includes the following parts:

  • 1x SJP-St44p2 Minilight backhead (ABS, 34.5 × 34.8 × 35.0 mm)
  • 1x SJP-St44p1 Minilight Shell (ABS, 52.7 × 171.3 × 69.1 mm)

Made-to-Order Manufacturing

At 3DPT, every model is manufactured to order rather than pulled from warehouse inventory. This approach allows us to offer an extensive catalog while ensuring each piece is produced with the care and attention it deserves.

Most orders ship within 7-14 business days. However, larger models, complex projects, and high-volume orders may require 4-6 weeks or longer due to extended print times and production requirements.

While extended lead times are uncommon, they may occasionally occur during periods of high demand or due to circumstances outside our control. We appreciate your understanding as we continue our mission of preserving transportation history in miniature through high-quality, made-to-order models.
