An extension of the successful X23 boxcar, the Pennsylvania Railway's X24 Automobile Boxcar was introduced in 1913. 2,000 were built by American Car and Foundry. The 1917 Official Railway Equipment Register shows 2,000 cars split between Lines East (series 46280-47819) and Lines West (series 500579-501578).

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a preliminary offering, meaning you will get a body, underbody, 2-56 screws, and optional Kadee™ couplers. Decals, trucks and detail parts will have to be supplied by the modeler. This car will eventually be re-released as a formal kit.
