Zenith Model Works HO-2005 Series
The bankrupt Saint Paul and Pacific Railway was reorganized in May of 1879 to become the Saint Paul, Minneapolis and Manitoba railway, and new rolling stock was needed. The company turned to Haskell and Barker for a group of 28 foot boxcars rated at roughly 27,000 pound capacity. Roster data is sparse: the 1885 Official Railway Equipment Register lists the first two groups of box cars - numbers 2-810 and 862-1200, even numbers, as being both 28 and 30 feet long. Series 1202-2456, even numbers, was 28 feet long in its entirety. Ultimately, I believe roughly 1,100 cars were built to this pattern.
Kist include Decals and Detail Parts.
Trucks and couplers are available as add-ons.
