Our operations have been impacted by the recent snowstorm in Tennessee, causing delays in production and shipping. We have resumed operations but are now working through the backlog of orders that built up, we're working diligently to produce and ship these orders and return to normal operations as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging time. Best regards, 3Dp Train
This arch-bar truck arrived on US Steel's iron ore railroads, the Duluth and Iron Range and the Duluth, Missabe and Northern, beginning in 1906 with a delivery of U4/D4 steel ore cars. It seems to have been a standard design offered by Pressed Steel and remained standard on deliveries for both railroads for several years. Ore cars handed down through the 1938 merger were still riding on these trucks in ballast service as late as the 1970s. We offer two different styles of journal boxes for these trucks (see photos).
