Introduced by the Sterlingworth Railway Supply Company around 1902, the Sterlingworth Pedestal Truck was an experimental alternative to the fairly poplar Fox and Schoen cast steel trucks. Most examples saw service on a few eastern roads, including Delaware, Lackawanna and Western and the New York, Ontario and Western.
